151st Music for Humanity Free Performance Night

On the 3rd Saturday of each month, for more than 12 years, we've invited 2-3 outstanding local/regional performers to share their music, both originals & covers. For Saturday May 20th we have two terrific singer/songwriters: Bernie Drury and Darian Rivera. It will be a great night of music.

Hit Picks #4: MUSIC IS CANDY Part I

Music is candy. You know what I’m talking about. Those songs, no matter how many times you’ve heard them, elicit a strong positive response and you never tire of listening. They give you pure joy. It could be as simple as a beautiful melody or something that is intangible, indescribable, emotional, but you know you love it.

HiT Picks #1: The Effortlessness of Alice Phoebe Lou

It’s rare when everything an artist does feels so natural, so spontaneous and so inviting that you can’t help but get pulled in. “Well this is quite a moment” acknowledged the Berlin-based, South African indie singer-songwriter, Alice Phoebe Lou early at her recent sold out December 4th show at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY.

Featured Artist Spotlight: Rachael Sage

Since founding her own label MPress Records two decades ago, NYC-based alt-pop artist Rachael Sage has steadily released a slew of vibrant, dynamic albums with poetic lyrics spanning subjects as wide as her inspirations. She has toured with an eclectic list of artists including Ani DiFranco, Beth Hart, Sarah McLachlan, Judy Collins and Howard Jones."

Featured Artists Spotlight: Hollis Brown

We booked Hollis Brown for our 2017 festival because they ticked off a ton of boxes. They are a hard-working band with an edge... but they're not full of themselves... They're just a straight-ahead rock and roll band with catchy tunes and no pretensions. It’s refreshing that they're out of Queens... and not Brooklyn... because I think what they do embodies that working man spirit.” ~ Bruce Figler, Radio Personality and Director of the Pleasantville Music Festival
