Summer Concerts on the Plaza (FREE), One North Broadway, White Plains, NY (enter on Main Street).

In 2021, The Figgs were inducted into the Capital Region Music Hall of Fame and 2022 saw the release of their 16th LP, Chemical Shake. 35 years after forming in Saratoga Springs, New York, Mike Gent (guitar, vocals), Pete Donnelly (bass, vocals), and Pete Hayes (drums, vocals) are still going strong. Hayes – the new guy – replaced founding member Guy Lyons in 1989. Lyons returned as 2nd guitarist in 1992, departing once again in 1997, and there have been other fourth members, but the core three – PeteMikePete – have been inseparable for over 3 decades. They signed with Imago in 1993, moved to Capitol in ‘95, and have since released a dozen more records on smaller labels or under the band’s own Stomper imprint. They’ve served as Graham Parker’s band for multiple tours & records, toured as the backing band for Tommy Stinson (The Replacements), and performed with a who’s who of the rock hall of fools!

Opening act, Freedom Rockets, recently finished recording the band’s soon-to-be-released first full-length album “American Trash” produced by American rock ‘n’ roll icon Tommy Stinson. In addition to being a founding and lifetime member of The Replacements, Stinson was a key second-generation ingredient in Guns N’ Roses and served a seven-year tenure with Soul Asylum. Stinson has also led three critically acclaimed bands of his own: Bash & Pop, Perfect and Cowboys in the Campfire.  Freedom Rockets became acquainted with Tommy Stinson due to happenstance and a series of serendipitous meetings which led to Tommy producing the band’s record.

Freedom Rockets is an American rock ‘n’ roll band that finds its roots in the sound of 1980s post-punk / alternative guitar bands like The Replacements, Soul Asylum, The Neighborhoods and Big Dipper combined with the pop sensibilities and harmonies of 1970s bands like Big Star, The Raspberries and Fotomaker and an unmistakable dose of the infectious 1970 punk sounds of The Suicide Commandos..

The band is known for its explosive live performances packed with a powerful punch of indie, pop, punk, alternative and classic rock sounds. The band is Jimy Bishop (guitar / vocals), Adam Machado (drums / vocals), Luke Shenk (bass / vocals), Mike Mazzeo (guitar / vocals), and Colin Herrington (keyboards / saxophone).

The songs on the soon to be released record are written by Freedom Rockets lead vocalist / guitarist Jimy Bishop in collaboration with multi-platinum songwriter Frankie Vinci who was a member of 1970s supergroup Fotomaker.
