Joan Yonkler, jazz vocalist, sings songs from The Great American Songbook. In her words, “The music is about love: lost love, new love, searching for love, remembering love. And that topic is timeless. I think that’s why this music resonates so much with every generation. And the melodies are so beautifully composed that they lend themselves to so many variations of tempos and forms. I like to think of myself as an interpreter of this music, that I’m so passionate about. And my mission is to help to keep this music alive and relevant.”
