Nod Hill Brewery, Ridgefield CT will host
Folk-Punk Quartet Pluck & Rail
Saturday, March 23, 2024
6:30 – 9 PM
Like a well-crafted cocktail, mingling irreverent songwriters, George Gierer’s blistering lead vocals (guitar, banjo and harmonica) alongside classically-trained cellist Andrew Sussman’s dynamic mastery of string instruments (cello, mandolin) the resulting musical presentation will transport you to the darker side of life. The addition of bassist Zach Swanson and Steve Uh’s soaring violin vocal contributions round out the quartet.
The band’s studio albums are meticulously arranged and beautifully produced. Their debut record, TRIGGER, is an eclectic song series telling tales of misfits and mishaps. Their sophomore album, KILLING TIME was released in 2022 and was recorded during the height of the pandemic. The music is about lost love, complicated relationships, ghost towns, capital punishment, hope and redemption on this energetic acoustic album weaving folk, blues, country and sometimes punk Pluck & Rail believe that in our bumps and bruises we find our true beauty.
