Joe Duraes is an independent artist. With his warm tenor and electrified acoustic alt-rock groove, Joe delivers narratives that explore topics of love, heartbreak, relationships, and the world we live in. Joe demonstrates how deeply meaningful and caring music can affect listeners and the world at large.
Joe and his band perform live as “Joe Duraes & The Skills”, honoring their home base in Peekskill. Joe Duraes & the Skills opened for Gin Blossoms at The Paramount Hudson Valley Theater. According to NYSMusic.com, “Though they were the opening act, the performance by Joe Duraes & The Skills put them at a level where they could have been mistaken as a co-headliner instead.”
