Sound of a Smirk uses lead singer Jesse’s quiet croons, harsh yells, and catchy choruses with heartfelt lyrics, mixed with smooth chords or finger picked rhythms, to display emotion-rich songwriting in the forefront. Mixing in a prominent rhythm section with Nick’s quick-handed, pulsing, and pounding drum beats combined with the filling, grooving, and sometimes growling bass from Peter starts to build out the sound.
