Uncle Cheef, Brewster, NY Presents

Soulful Guitarist

ED CHERRY

Hailing from New Haven CT, guitarist Ed Cherry has established himself as a beloved mainstay in the NYC scene through years of recording, worldwide live shows, and a style all his own with a warm, incredibly swinging and soulful bent. Ed moved to NY to play with Dizzy Gillespie from 1978 to 1992 performing in Gillespie’s quartet, big band and with The United Nation Orchestra which recorded the Grammy Award-winning Live at Royal Festival Hall (Enja). With credits too numerous to mention here, Ed continues to work nationally and internationally; concerts, workshops & jazz clubs. Please join us for what will be a magical evening with a luscious line up of guitar, vibes, Hammond organ and drums! What a sound! (More.)
