January’s Record of The Month is Blood on The Tracks by Bob Dylan. Performing the album will be local legends, The Dan Zlotnick Band.
Although Blood on the Tracks initially received mixed reviews from critics, it has retrospectively been acclaimed as one of Dylan’s best albums by both critics and fans, and various publications have listed it as one of the greatest albums of all time.
Experience this master piece live and in person as Dan and the band bring you back to 1975, almost 48 years to the day it was released.
Dan Zlotnick has been called “the Americana voice of Westchester County, New York” because his joyous, warm energy emanates through his songs and performances. After a three-year independent minor league baseball career, Dan began writing and performing original music. A child of classic rock radio who dug deep into folk music in college, Dan half-jokingly claims that Jimmy Page taught him guitar and John Prine taught him lyric-writing. His sound is like the multi-generational family photo hanging on the wall, and his lyrics are like the stories you share with your best friends after a hearty home cooked meal.
