Andromeda Turre is a consummate performer and composer who has honed her craft over a lifetime immersed in music. Born into a family of jazz musicians, Andromeda was fortunate to glean from the greats, including Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach, Wynton Marsalis as well as her parents Steve Turre and Akua Dixon.

Based in New York, on the traditional homeland of indigenous peoples, including the Munsee Lenape and Ramapoo / Ramapough tribal nation, Andromeda is also a speaker, trained at Cornell University as a diversity and inclusion practitioner, she brings her unique perspective and insights to the entertainment industry. Her dedication to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion is further demonstrated through her work with growing up jazz, a powerful keynote that teaches black history through the lens of jazz. For this initiative, she was awarded the 2022 Women of Distinction award from NY state senate and county legislators. Growing up jazz can also be found on SiriusXM as Andromeda hosts her own show on the Real Jazz Channel every Saturday and Sunday from 11am-5pm est. With a powerful voice, breadth of experience, and dedication to her craft and causes, Andromeda Turre is a force to be reckoned with in the world of music today.
