About Dan Zlotnick
Dan Zlotnick writes songs that make any stage feel like your living room. A lyrical descendant of Americana’s favorite storytellers, Dan’s strong and textured voice fronts a powerful medley of soundscapes. Some of his songs are as comforting as the couch where you have your most intimate conversations, while others excite you to move the coffee table and dance around the room with a smile on your face. With his authentic stories, heartfelt songs, and intricate guitar work, Dan makes every show feel like a night in with your closest friends.
About Brian Dolzani
Connecticut-based songwriter Brian Dolzani’s music has been called ‘musical medicine for the soul’ by Lonesome Noise blog. Alt-country magazine No Depression has said ‘Dolzani’s melancholy musings are remarkably affecting.’
2021 has seen the release of Brian’s tenth independent record, ‘We Are Magic’. Produced and performed completely by himself in his basement to 4-track cassette during the 2020 pandemic, the songs have a raw edge, vulnerability, and urgency that reflects the difficult times we are in. ‘I thought at the time of recording that these tracks would just be demos, and give me something creative to do,’ Brian reflects. ‘But by October, about 15 songs later, I thought ‘this needs to be the album, as it is.’ Often compared vocally to Neil Young, We Are Magic has an ‘unreleased Neil studio album’ feel to it.
We Are Magic follows up Brian’s highly acclaimed previous albums, including 2018’s Horse, recorded in Connecticut at Dirt Floor with Eric Lichter, and 2015’s A Place That I Can Feel, recorded in Nashville with a cast of musicians who have played with Roy Orbison, Vince Gill, and many others. 2019 found Brian traveling to Memphis to record his socially-conscious single ‘Culture of Fighting’ with producer Scott McEwen, and features legendary keyboardist Rev. Charles Hodges and drummer George Sluppick (Chris Robinson Brotherhood, City Champs).
Brian performs all across the United States and has shared the stage with The Subdudes, Bill Payne of Little Feat, Midnight North, Freedy Johnston, Caravan of Thieves, and many others.
