Uncle Cheef, Brewster, NY Presents
WILL BERNARD & HENRY HEY’S “FRESH SOIL”
Get ready for an evening of creative funky, joyful exploration! Guitarist Will Bernard combines forces with keyboard player Henry Hey. They are joined by iconic drummer Shawn Pelton and ever-grooving bassist Jonathan Maron. Will Bernard (Don Cherry, Stanton Moore) is a staple in the NYC scene – often collaborating with the very best in the blues and jazz scenes, and with several solo recordings under his own name, he has appeared as a leader at the New Orleans Jazz Fest and throughout the USA. Keyboardist Henry Hey (David Bowie, Rudder, Forq) has a long history as a creative groove collaborator in the New York scene – with past residencies at many NYC venues and as a leader of his own band at festivals worldwide. Drummer Shawn Pelton (Saturday Night Live) is one of the most recorded musicians in NYC and is a piece of the NYC music fabric. Bassist Jonathan Maron (Donny McCaslin, Groove Collective) is one of the most desired low-end experts in the area – and brings his own special lines to this party.
