Laurel Aronian has been recognized by YoungARTS for Voice/Singer-Songwriter, awarded a Merit Scholarship to Interlochen Arts (MI) in Grand Prix Music International, placed 2nd in the American Protégé Vocal Competition (Folk), took 1st Place at Herkimer County Fair (NY) & performed “Albany,” her original song at The NY State Fair.
A foundation of folk, rock, pop, indie, and classical music infuses Laurel’s singing, guitar, and musicianship. She has studied with The Juilliard School, Tanglewood Institute, Interlochen Center for the Arts, Berklee College of Music, and New York State Summer School of the Arts.
Select performances include The Westchester Bluegrass Club (NY); Jazz on Main (NY); The Ridgefield Playhouse (CT); Carnegie Hall (NY); Hartford Convention Center (CT); Washington DC Hilton, Gaylord National Resort (MD); Boston Harbor Visitor Center (MA) and county & state fairs.
Laurel has fronted rock, pop, bluegrass, a cappella, and performs with chorale ensembles in community and national venues, including the Connecticut’s All-State Honor Choir. She currently interns as the Assistant Director for Music On The Hill’s Children’s Community Choir (CT) and hosts sing-a-longs at public libraries.
